He has led the successful delivery of numerous high-profile projects, including: material recovery facilities (MRF), organics composting facilities, C&D and C&I recycling facilities, plastic and glass sorting and washing plants, SRF/PEF facilities and development of Pyrloysis and Gasification technologies and delivery of EfW facilities.

Matthews key leadership projects include; The development of over 30 recycling facilities and precincts across Australia and New Zealand, processing 5,000 tonnes of recyclables daily. The development of a PEF production facility, a cutting-edge project integrated into a $250 million energy-from-waste (EfW) facility in Australia. Business transformation making loss making operation into profitable ventures through innovative process improvements.
